Corporate Governance Workshop

On 15th November 2021, Muscat Finance arranged a Corporate Governance workshop for 14 members of its Management Team as part of the firm's commitment to delivering regular professional development training to its staff in line with the Sultanate's 2016 Corporate Governance law covering topics including the role of Management and Board of Directors, reporting standards and frequency, transparency and audit requirements that are regulated by the CCL and CMA.

The half-day workshop was conducted by the Oman Centre for Governance & Sustainability at Park Inn Hotel to ensure the best skills, tools and frameworks are adopted within the organisation, warranting that Management

  • implement best practices including ethical and organisational code of conduct,
  • conduct business in a manner that safeguards shareholder rights, profit growth, and all stakeholder interests,
  • evaluate and mitigate unforeseen risks, fraud and embezzlement risks
  • encourage corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices that positively serve society
